Eurobond

Bond denominated in a currency other than the local currency of the country where the bond is issued. Eurobonds are underwritten by an international syndicate of financial institutions and sold to international investors, e.g., a US dollar-denominated bond issued in the United Kingdom and sold to investors worldwide. Eurobonds denominated in US dollars are known as eurodollar bonds, and those denominated in yen as euroyen bonds.
